Welcome to our Team Rick Fundraiser!

This merchandise has been created for the Glioblastoma Research Organization in honor of Rick Landis. By purchasing merchandise or donating, you will be funding glioblastoma research and awareness initiatives. Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive and deadly form of primary brain tumor. Unfortunately, due to its rapid growth and invasiveness, the 5-year survival rate is 4.7%, and brain cancer research is significantly underfunded. The good news is, with modern medicine and rapidly advancing technology, a cure is not that far out of reach!

This horribly aggressive disease took a beloved member of the Landis family at just 43 years young. Rick Landis was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend, whom we have needed and missed every day since. He was a passionate outdoorsman, who taught much of our family how to fish, ride snowmobiles, hunt, and live off the land. He was wise and had a superpower of turning anyone’s frown to a smile within a few seconds. He taught us to laugh through the good times and bad and always stand tall in the face of adversity. He was a lover of life and reminded everyone to enjoy each day the way he did.

Rick fought bravely and still managed to keep his unmatched sense of humor throughout this difficult time. His hard-fought battle lasted only six weeks after his diagnosis, and he was determined to win the fight each and every one of these days. Now, we carry on with the same determination to advance research and treatments to make glioblastoma a winnable fight.
